Job Description

We are a dynamic UK-based technology company that is fundamentally changing the way international logistics operates. We are searching for an experienced Business Development Manager who is excited by the prospect of working at the bleeding edge of high tech in a rapidly growing scale-up. We've recently raised our Series A round from leading US investor Bessemer Venture Partners (LinkedIn, Twilio, Shopify), alongside Episode 1 (Zoopla, Betfair, Shazam) and supply chain-focused fund Dynamo Ventures (Sennder, Stord).

We are looking for a Sales & Business Development Manager to join our team and help fuel our next stage of growth. Vector is looking for an experienced candidate ideally with knowledge of the Automations, Freight Forwarding, Logistics or SAAS space who can create strong relationships with potential clients all over the world.

Day-to-day you will:

  • Cultivate relationships with clients, gain deep understanding of their business, and provide solutions for to meet their business goals
  • Drive excitement and product awareness of our solution
  • Manage outbound lead generation and cold calling to increase pipeline
  • Perform all aspects of selling professionally including: prospecting, campaign creation, approaching, presenting, handling objections, closing and follow-up
  • Maintain strong knowledge of all products, accessories, pricing plans, promotions and service features
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive offers and provide critical market feedback to the client regarding local competition and product/service needs
  • Create and maintain accurate client information in the CRM

We specifically want someone who has:

  • 5+ years of Sales experience in a fast-growing, global B2B SaaS start-up and ideally in the Automation, Logistics or Freight forwarding space
  • A proven ability to plan strategically and deliver operationally in a flexible and pragmatic manner
  • The ability to navigate complex, fast-paced and dynamic environments with ability to operate fluidly between the strategic and tactical
  • Has experience with modern sales tech stack - sales engagement platforms, content management systems
  • A positive and competitive attitude and a drive to win business
  • An entrepreneurial mindset
  • Proven track record of revenue achievement against targets
  • Sound business judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Highly analytical and self-motivated
  • Excellent written and verbal communication to stakeholders
