Job Summary

Vantage Travel is seeking an experienced VP of Marketing & Analytics to lead our growing team.  This executive will lead our CRM & Analytics, Circulation and Interactive Marketing teams focusing on customer qualification, conversion, acquisition and retention in an effort to drive Vantage’s business.  The successful candidate will have proven sales management experience with a focus on high volume transactions.  This multi-departmental leader will spearhead strategic marketing initiatives while defining customer communications, managing the customer database, overseeing CRM functions and loyalty programs across all channels. 

The VP of Marketing & Analytics will work closely with senior management to develop and implement the strategic plans to grow the customer file with a solid understanding of consumer segmentation, behavior and trends relative to the business.  They will understand how to effectively mine the Company’s existing database to increase the lifetime values of current members, as well as how to implement strategies to grow the target audience, driving Vantage’s top line revenue and achieving annual profit goals. 

This role will work closely with operations, finance and revenue management to build marketing plans that deliver the highest profitability by product. 

List of Responsibilities
  • Build Customer File to Achieve targeted passenger plans through growing leads and qualification of existing file and addition of New Households, through multiple lead-generating channels including interactive, email, video, SEM, SEO, and print surveys.
  • Build the marketing promotional plan and implement key marketing, sales, and customer service programs to grow the customer base and gain sustainable revenue.
  • Work closely with key departments (e.g. – operations and finance) to implement and evaluate effective marketing and sales programs that beat annual corporate goals by interactive and print distribution channels.
  • Own the Direct Marketing platform and lead the production, circulation, and distribution of direct mail and email.
  • Provide leadership to CRM initiatives and manage the quality and content of customer data
  • Identify and implement strategic marketing initiatives and create alliance partnerships.
  • Lead a Dynamic Team. Motivate and retain a team of professionals to support the growth of the strategic marketing function.
  • Lead and deliver existing web marketing initiatives and support development of new website that delivers high converting leads and sales.
  • Attend and participate in required meetings.

Required Skills and Experience

The VP of Marketing & Analytics will bring credible leadership to invigorate Vantage’s marketing function.  They should possess relative experience creating and implementing marketing plans, including a strong background in identifying customers, understanding customer file and qualification and understanding value propositions.  The successful candidate will be competent with the collection and analysis of data and the presentation of results to a wide variety of audiences.  They will be able to work in partnership with members of the executive team, including the COO/CFO and EVP of World Wide Operations & Marketing who share a passion for the marketing functions critical to the business. 

  • Customer Identification & Retention. The VP of Marketing & Analytics must have solid experience with owning the direct marketing function in relation to both customer acquisition and loyalty-building programs. This leader will need to bring a strategic approach to identifying and capturing the most profitable targets with the KPIs and ROI defined.
  • Marketing Strategy. The successful candidate will have led the process to develop marketing plans with the objective of growing a business. This leader should have proven experience thinking - out of the box to identify target markets and segments through the most effective channels, including strong experience with web-based initiatives.
  • Service-Industry Exposure. The VP of Marketing & Analytics preferably should understand the dynamics of working in a high-touch service industry where customer and channel dynamics drive the business.
  • Alliances. It is important that this leader have experience building relationships with service providers and companies that extend the brand offering. Evidence creating alliances to leverage synergies and create win-win situations is critical in the successful candidate
