Looking for a COO who will be responsible for supervision of the company’s cultivation, processing operations and dispensary operations working closely with Executive Management. The Chief Operating Officer is primarily responsible for providing strategic direction, executing operational processes and procedures for the corporate leadership team as well as managers in connection with the executive team. The Chief Operating Officer provides oversight and development of direct reports while working in cooperation with other functional leaders to ensure profitability and efficiency. The COO acts as a role model in the organization by exhibiting positive behaviors to achieve expected results, while consistently demonstrating the company core values.

Core Job Duties:

  • Develop all standard operating procedures (SOPs), metrics and financial planning for the company
  • Create and lead all operations strategies and policies
  • Effectively manage key metrics, telling a story with data, and representing the state of corporate and field operations at all times with clear and concise reports and dashboards.
  • Function as “daily communicator,” and have a constant and deep understanding of how each department runs on a daily basis.
  • Ensures proper management of all facilities and properties
  • Serves as an effective executive leader that identifies priorities, evaluates performance, and spearheads the development of the organization to support Company growth.
  • Lead and coordinate the process of making key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
  • Proactively participate in company strategic planning by establishing initiatives that expand product lines and markets
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of, and implement, efficient operational best practices.
  • Oversee seamless transition of mergers and acquisitions.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws, as well as Company rules and policies.
  • Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of local, state and federal auditors and government agencies.
  • Help develop and grow the Company’s reporting features – production reports, yield trackers, etc.
  • Directly contributes to creating, communicating and implementing the organization’s vision, mission, and overall direction.
  • Maintain awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, customers, markets, new industry developments, products, technologies, and standards.
  • Evaluates the success of the organization and reports to Executive team.
  • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
  • Establish policies that promote company culture and vision


  • Proven experience as Chief Operating Office or relevant role
  • Proven success with mergers and acquisitions and supply chain logistics
  • Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, marketing etc.
  • Minimum of five years of leadership and management experience with a high-growth company
  • Skilled in organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, as well as strategic planning.
  • Highly organized and motivated, inspirational, and can thrive in a fast-paced, detail oriented environment.
  • Flexible and able to multitask; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems
  • Proven track record of implementing and effecting change strategies at an executive level in a startup or high growth environment
  • Must have or quickly develop expert knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and policies regarding regulated cannabis.
  • Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to corporate mission
  • Demonstrable experience with financial planning and management
  • Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
  • Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  • Cannabis experience preferred but not required
  • BS/BA in Business Administration or relevant field; MS/MBA is a plus
