Maintains all assigned areas in a clean and sanitary condition.2. Performs cleaning/sanitizing tasks as outlined on the shift/daily/weekly/monthly cleaning schedules, which may include wash, dust, polish vacuum and sweep all areas of the facility.3. Cleans and sanitizes sinks, tubs, showers and toilets...
according to prescribed sanitary standards.4. Polishes fittings and fixtures as directed.5. Cleans mirrors and windows as directed.6.
Empties and cleans trash receptacles as directed.7. Cleans and sanitizes office and common areas including public and private restrooms, nursing areas and patient laundry areas as directed.8. Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains all flooring according to facility cleaning schedules, which may include tiled, carpeted, polished concrete, wood and other flooring types.9.
Cleans and sanitizes linens according to organizational protocol and keep a separation of dirty and clean linens within the laundry storage area.10. Distributes clean linens and paper goods according to facility schedule.11. Restocks cleaning and paper supplies according to organizational guidelines.12.
Follows safety guidelines when using cleaning chemicals, appliances, and other commercial housekeeping equipment.13. Removes trash, boxes or other soiled materials to appropriate containers in a timeframe that ensures patient/visitor and staff safety and infection control in addition to following regulatory guidelines.14. Inspects housekeeping equipment to ensure safety prior to use.
Use housekeeping equipment according to manufacturer and facility direction. Promptly notify business manager of any concerns.15. Maintains clean laundry, housekeeping and storage rooms that are free from fire and other hazards.16.
Observes and reports any maintenance issues according to business manager guideline.17. Adheres to health and safety regulations pertinent to facility, organization, state or other regulatory body to promote and increase infection control.18. Adheres to Valley Hope's philosophies, policies, and procedures as well as any other regulating bodies.19.
Participates in all assigned staff meetings, staff development, and training as required. Interacts and communicates with others (patients, co-workers, management, and vendors) in a professional and tactful manner including treating them with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCERequired: minimum amounts of education or experience required to qualify for the job. Six (6) months previous housekeeping experienceSKILLS & ABILITIES: The following is intended to give an overview of the requirements of the position, but is not an exhaustive list. Strong knowledge of proper cleaning procedures. Ability to read, write, and follow directions.
