SUMMARY:

This position is a fulltime Exempt (salary) position, supporting the ARNG Mission Training Complex -- Fort Indiantown Gap (MTC-FTIG). Operations Manager assists the MCTSP Operations Manager and Site Lead in the execution of all training and scheduling functions within the Mission Training Complex (MTC). Position requires Active Secret Clearance.

Essential Functions:

  • Supervises all aspects of exercise and facility scheduling, facility planning and maintenance, security operations, Facility Access Control, Supply Operations & Travel Planning.
  • Responsible for maintaining the MTC Training Calendar and ensuring coordination is conducted with the MTC Department of the Army military leadership regarding training events.
  • Executes the Management Interface System (MIS) providing accurate, complete, comprehensive management and scheduling information in real-time for MTC-FTIG.
  • Provides technical, administrative, and operational leadership to assigned projects and tasks.
  • Provides the Collective Training Support Leadership function on-site at MTC during standard operating hours.
  • Plan and schedule MC staff training events that replicate a realistic training environment.
  • Responsible for providing technical, administrative, and operational management of assigned projects, including subordinate managers.
  • Conducts planning and provides recommendations to client on task workload.
  • Attends customer meetings and serves as primary client liaison regarding training.
  • Coordinates development of deliverables and products.
  • Assists staff in the completion of daily operations, goals and performance.
  • Executes programs successfully by managing safety, quality schedule and costs.
  • Assist in the coordination with customer unit leaders to determine specific unit training objectives.
  • Provides leadership and direction across all MTC training teams in the absence of the MTC Site Manager.
  • Ensure Unit Leadership understands MTC capabilities in regards to operations, training, technical support, simulations and distribution methodologies.
  • Responsible for administratively and operationally leading a team of skilled trainers.
  • Take lead to ensure scheduling and operations information is effectively shared and collaborated to allow better decision-making among team members.
  • Assists in the implementation and enforcement of data governance, information management, and security rules.
  • Will have access to and regularly work with Government sensitive data and maybe asked to represent the Government at meetings and conferences.
  • Interacts and effectively communicates with corporate and customer management to determine project scope, planning needs, and reporting requirements.
  • Ensures delivery of reports.
  • Implements ISO quality standards
  • Analyzes progress and develop necessary recovery plans and/or alternatives
  • Responsible for evaluating existing components or systems to determine integration requirements and to ensure final solutions meet organizational needs.
  • Ensures adherence to Company and Site Policies, Practices and Procedures appropriately using authority to conduct or recommend employee disciplinary actions accordingly.
  • Safeguard and maintain Government furnished equipment, materials and facilities.
  • Coordinate required safety information through direct coordination with government leadership.
  • Ensure that Government and contract guidelines, regulations, policies and standards are complied with.
 

JOB PREREQUISITES/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Educational Equivalent: AS/AA degree with eight (8) years experience, BA/BS with five (5) years experience (preferred), subject immaterial.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in Battalion / Brigade S3 Staff. Demonstrated experience with military training and training support.
  • Specific Knowledge: Experience in military operations and training management at Battalion or high level. Basic knowledge of management and development of databases and qualitative/quantitative research methods.
  • Licenses/Certifications/Registrations, etc.: Must possess a valid State Driver's License and maintain Post driving privileges. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and meet other eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must be able to successfully pass the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Awareness compact disk--read-only memory (CD-ROM) course as a minimum training requirement.
  • Communication Skills: Able to read, write and speak fluent English. Must be able to listen with comprehension to assist fellow associates with duties/requests. Must have excellent verbal communication skills for interfacing with military and civilian personnel.
  • Physical/Mental Abilities Required: Ability to use good judgment and common sense when performing job functions. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks at the same time under stressful conditions. The highest level of confidentiality and loyalty is required.
 

Working Conditions:

Position: Office environment, occasionally outdoors.

Work Week: Monday-Friday (may vary based on mission requirements)

Work Hours: 0800 - 1700 (may vary based on mission requirements)

Overtime: As Required

Travel: As Required
