This position is a Fulltime Non-Exempt (hourly) position, supporting the ARNG Mission Training Complexes and other DOD locations. MCS Trainer responsible for collective training for Mission Training Complex to include the development of scenarios, script writing, and exercise direction for MTC driven collective events. Responsible for integrating requisite Live, Virtual, Constructive, Gaming and Mission Command (LVCG+MC). May support work originating any/all of the following locations/regions:

    Essential Functions:



    • Responsible for Developing Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) for the employment of MC systems.

    • Designs voice and data system architectures for unit staff/team collaboration and information sharing within Tactical Operations Center (TOC), Command Post (CP) and War-fighter functional area cell systems/applications architectures based on user or system design specifications.

    • Develops and adapts training materials and documentation to support Gaming and Simulations capabilities.

    • Develops training environments that are unique to unit training requirements, completes setup and configuration of systems, conducts testing, troubleshooting and modification of systems as required.

    • Must support US Army Mission Command capabilities which include but not limited to CPOF, FBCB2, BFT/BFT2, JCR, JBC-P, DCGS-A, GCCSA,, AFATDS, AMDWS, TAIS, and JADOCS.
    • Ensures adherence to Company and Site Policies, Practices and Procedures

    • Safeguard and maintain Government furnished equipment, materials and facilities.

    • Coordinate required safety information through direct coordination with government leadership.

    • Ensure that Government and contract guidelines, regulations, policies and standards are complied with.


     


    Job Prerequisites/Qualifications/Skills:



    • Educational Equivalent: High School Diploma AA/AS preferred). Completion of a course of study leading to a minimum of experience with Army MCSs and software systems and has completed a formal course of study in the subject(s) to be taught.

    • Experience:At least Two (2) years' Mission Command Systems teaching experience; has served as assistant instructor for the same courseware. Experience of not less than four (4) years' service in or in support of the Army or other national defense service.

    • Specific Knowledge:Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on one or more Mission Command Systems (MCSs) and has operated the system(s). Completion of a course of study leading to a minimum of experience with Army Mission Command Systems (MCSs) and software systems.

    • Licenses/Certifications/Registrations, etc.:Must possess a valid State Driver's License and maintain Post driving privileges. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and meet other eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must be able to successfully pass the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Awareness compact disk--read-only memory (CD-ROM) course as a minimum training requirement; MCS System Certification and current with Army training doctrine

    • Communication Skills:Able to read, write and speak fluent English. Must be able to listen with comprehension to assist fellow associates with duties/requests. Must have excellent verbal communication skills for interfacing with military and civilian personnel.

    • Physical/Mental Abilities Required:Ability to use good judgment and common sense when performing job functions. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks at the same time under stressful conditions. The highest level of confidentiality and loyalty is required.

    SUMMARY:

    The eXportable Combat Training Capability (XCTC) Program is the Army National Guard (ARNG) capstone training event for Brigade Combat Teams (BCT) to attain platoon level training readiness. This position is a full-time Exempt (salary) position supporting the XCTC Program and may support work originating at any or all the multiple scheduled locations of these events. This position will be a remote position. Program Management Office. The XCTC Safety Specialist is responsible for administration and oversight of the contract's Safety Program.


    Essential Functions:



    • Ensures compliance across the XCTC Program with all federal, state and local Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) directives and regulations.

    • Conducts routine and appointed safety inspections and assists with accident and incident investigations as directed.

    • Works closely with subordinate managers to conduct safety audits in all functional areas; monitors work environments and provides advice and recommendations for improvement of the safety program and overall safety culture.

    • Responsible for XCTC safety and health training programs and recordkeeping.

    • Monitors the planning, organization, direction and presentation of education and training courses in occupational safety and health matters.


     


    JOB PREREQUISITES/QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:



    • Educational Equivalent: Associate degree or equivalent, subject immaterial. Formal training in OSHA General Industry Safety and Health Standards (required).

    • Experience / Knowledge / Skills Required: Minimum 2 years' experience in safety related duties in an organization of comparable size and complexity. Prior military preferred. OSHA 501 General Industry Outreach Trainer, preferred.

    Working Conditions:


    Position: Office environment, occasionally outdoors. Occasional exposure to natural conditions existing at different location around the US.


    Work Week: Monday-Friday (may vary based on mission requirements)


    Work Hours: 0800 - 1700 (may vary based on mission requirements)


    Overtime: As Required
