Vaco Orange County is a leading staffing and consulting firm that provides talent solutions for various industries and clients. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team and work on a consulting / potential temp-to-permanent basis for one of our clients.

Our client is a leading electric vehicle manufacturer that uses state-of-the-art battery and energy technologies to create affordable and sustainable transportation solutions. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements and footnotes for SEC filings, maintaining account balances and bank statements, assisting with public company audit, managing general ledger and closing processes, and supporting management with special projects. You will also ensure compliance with GAAP and other accounting standards and regulations.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
• At least 5 years of professional accounting experience (public company experience preferred)
• Exceptional knowledge of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and accuracy
