OPERATIONS MANAGER

Job Summary: VSolvit is looking for an experienced operations manager to join our team to lead a large Navy maintenance program.

As with any position, additional expectations exist. Some of these are, but are not limited to, adhering to normal working hours, meeting deadlines, following company policies as outlined by the Employee Handbook, communicating regularly with assigned supervisor(s), and staying focused on the assigned tasks including company meetings, and completing other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities: The individual will lead a large team of professionals to operate and maintain the current operation. The operations manager may provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist. The individual will lead and direct the work of others. The individual will manage computer operations in conjunction with database administrators, system administrators, and various data center personnel. They will ensure production schedules are met and computer system resources are used effectively. The individual will coordinate the resolution of production-related problems while ensuring proper relationships are established between customers, teaming partners and vendors to facilitate the delivery of information technology services. Additionally, they will provide users with computer output and supervise staff operations.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area within DoD/Navy programs, plus at least 3 years of managerial experience. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and independently performs a wide variety of complicated tasks. Demonstrates competent writing and oral communication skills.

• Experience with shipyard operations
• Experience with Agile/SAFe methodologies
• Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in business or related field
• Experience with managing large enterprise programs
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
