POSITION SUMMARY:
Physician - Per Diem (up to 20 hours per week)

We are looking for a responsible Physician to provide medical oversite and supervision at our Covid-19 mobile vaccine PODs, ensure compliance with all CDC recommendations for the proper administration of Covid-19 Vaccines to the general population (pediatric through adults), and facilitate compliance with Covid-19 Safety Practices and related policies and guidelines. You will provide preventative care and advice on measures to minimize hazards or unhealthy situations related to Covid-19 and other infectious diseases and other health measures as indicated by all medical supervisors and Chief Medical Officer’s direction.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking and administering immunizations for the general population (including children ages 6mo and up). You will provide medical oversite for mobile vaccine clinics, provide information, counseling, and support. Answer questions and concerns about Covid-19 vaccination, in addition to providing guidance for proper Covid-19 vaccine administration to all age groups.
The Physician will be a responsible individual who follows all internal/external health safety regulations. Your work will be largely focused on care for all patients, so you need to be patient, compassionate, conscientious, and farsighted.
Requirements:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the development of Covid-19 and vaccine policies procedures and programs for patients.
- Follow CDC guidelines and state regulations
- Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics, i.e. Covid-19 Safety Orders, guidelines, and polices as indicated by the CMO or designated Medical Director(s)
- Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures for patients
- Conduct Diagnostic Medical Testing as determined by the direction of the Chief Medical Officer
- Review existing policies and measures and update them according to legislation
- Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective personal equipment)
- Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy
- Record and investigate incidents of non-compliance
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on health and safety needs
- Highly detail-oriented and ready to act in emergencies
REQUIRED AND PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CREDENTIALS:
- Medical Degree M.D.
- 3+ years of experience; the Previous service experiences as an asset
- Valid license to practice medicine
