JOB ROLE SUMMARY

As a Senior Project Scheduler/Project Planner you will be accountable for for the development of preliminary (proposal / bid) and baseline schedules. You will ensure the goals and objectives for the projects you are assigned are met, as determined by bid requirements, contract requirements, and the Project Team.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

For all assigned projects:

  • Establish and maintain familiarity with contract documents.
  • Develop preliminary schedules from available bid documents (schematic or preliminary design documents)
  • Experienced with preliminary scheduling for projects valuing $100+MM
  • Work with project team to finalize bid and baseline schedules
  • Communicate with the Project Team to acquire necessary information
  • Examine construction risks
  • Examine and identify constructability issues
  • Examine and identify potential challenges in building phase
  • Identify critical trades and scopes of work
  • Determine procurement needs and identify long lead items
  • Analyze project access and onsite construction traffic flow to develop site equipment staging and logistics plans
  • Identify crew needs and trade stacking
  • Determine project staffing needs
  • Determine construction phasing
  • Identify key milestones and critical path
  • Determine and verify overall project duration
  • Complete detailed schedule narratives
  • Perform quantity take-off to evaluate, estimate, and confirm durations and production rates
  • Determine options for hoisting needs
  • Identify potential shoring needs and pedestrian traffic protection
  • Travel to projects as required


Department Reporting and Other Contributions

  • Regularly contribute information for department reporting to upper management for all assigned projects
  • Assist the Operations Manager with periodic tasks related to project schedules, documenting or reviewing project progress, schedule analysis, or other tasks as requested
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Must have 5+ years of scheduling experience in the commercial construction industry with a commercial and/or multifamily general contractor
  • Recent Oracle Primavera P6 experience
  • Experience using On Center Software or other take-off software, a plus
  • Presentation skills required in meetings and in training
  • Must be able to read blueprints

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART:

  • Experience with 100 + mil Retail, Multi-family, and other commercial projects preferred.
