VCA Cheshire Animal Hospital is actively seeking full-time veterinary technicians and Certified Veterinary Technicians to join our well established hybrid practice. We feature a newly-built, state-of-the-art facility, a talented team of board certified specialists providing the most comprehensive veterinary medicine available in the region, along with four full-time emergency veterinarians providing 24/7/365 emergency care with a strong management team dedicated to delivering the highest quality patient care. Our specialties include Internal Medicine, Surgery, Emergency and Critical Care and much more. We offer a wide range of diagnostics including in-house CT Scan, ultrasound and endoscopy, digital radiography, minimally invasive surgery, ICU with telemetry and oxygen therapy.

Duties for Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technicians include:
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Technician: Provide emergency and critical care nursing to small animal patients and technical support to our doctors and staff. Essential skills for the ICU veterinary technician include: Compassionate nursing, emergency triage, monitor vitals, proficiency in venipuncture; IV catheter placement, drug calculations, administration IV drugs, client communication and education.
Candidates for this position must be organized, flexible, ability to work independently in addition to being a team player. We manage high caseloads in a fast-paced environment so it is also important that the candidate be able to work efficiently in times of stress.
Must have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends and some holidays.
Experience in a veterinary hospital required. Credentialed Technician a plus.
