Job Description

Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU) located in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, with over $1.4 billion in assets, is looking to hire a National Account Representative to join their team.

This position is the face of the Credit Union during Sponsor Company visits and utility and energy industry events. This individual seeks out business-to-business engagement opportunities and business to consumer sales and service opportunities while on company visits and through virtual outreach. Key responsibilities include identifying current and prospective member needs and recommending appropriate products and services. This individual will utilize and maintain their portion of the business to business Member Relationship Management (MRM) database, which supports business lead generation, expansion and engagement of Sponsor Companies in the Field of Membership, and New Member growth. This individual will track activities regarding sales opportunities.

Some essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Take a leading role in initiating, maintaining and growing Sponsor Company relationships with the objective of New Member growth.
  • Sell Credit Union products and services in a manner that is conducive to developing and maintaining strong member relationships, with the objective of New Member growth.
  • Take a leading role in the utilization and maintenance of the business to business MRM database. This critical component contains information regarding all contacts, companies, communications, sales activities, sales opportunities, upcoming events, and actions to be taken.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all Credit Union products and services in order to ascertain member needs and to sell in conjunction with those needs.
  • Maintain an accurate and current awareness of Marketing tools and promotions.
  • Build a pipeline with leads for prospective new Sponsor Companies through cold calling, event participation, social media outreach, etc.
  • Maintain current information and understanding of all companies within assigned Field of Membership. Communicate key information to affected parties.
  • Request research and reporting for potential and existing Sponsor Companies, and assist in prioritizing their potential.
  • Link with appropriate Business Development Department staff in carrying out their respective duties and achieving goals and objectives. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Assisting in completing tasks associated with company visits (in person, virtual, boxed)
    • Ensuring the MRM tool is kept up-to-date
    • Planning company rollouts to new or previously inactive Sponsor Companies
    • Assisting in the design, maintenance and implementation of business to business communication plan
  • Assist with Business Development and Marketing projects.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of laws, regulations and developments within the credit union industry which affect Sponsor Company relationships and member growth.

Education and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales/Marketing, Finance or a related field is desired, but equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum experience of three years in sales, marketing and/or customer service.
