Updater is having continued growth across our 3 brands and we are looking to add an experienced Strategic Finance Manager who loves building models to help set the gold standard for company-wide financial process, leveraging technology to drive real-time analysis and insights. In this hands on role, you will get to produce forecasts and business plans that incorporate all business data points to consistently and accurately predict performance. You will e stablish cross-functional relationships with business leads to help guide them towards producing optimal outcomes, and you will l everage financial literacy to guide business leads to make better decisions.

You might love this role if you h ave experience building and reviewing highly complex models, being an early member of a Finance team that has helped shaped the trajectory of a company, you know how to distill complex financial data into digestible outputs and analyses for use across the organization, and you want true ownership of your function while working closely with your executive. This role will be hands on; the team is currently small, but will grow over the next year. You will report to and work closely with the Vice President of Finance and Business Operations who is looking forward to partnering with you to build; they believe in transparency, and is f ocused on creating a space to allow you to manage your time and efforts.

About the Role

• You will be an early hire on our growing finance team
• Create financial models
• Help create processes, select a CPM vendor, and begin to integrate all forecasting and planning into one platform
• Leverage financial literacy to guide business leads to make better decisions, providing guidance to Investors and Executive Leadership
• This role is remote, but needs to be US based. We are not currently able to offer sponsorship for this role.

About You

• 4+ years of strategic finance, operational finance, or FP&A at a high-growth start-up or well-established company, scaling with technology
• 2+ years in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or similar experience
• Have experience building and reviewing highly complex models, and developing processes that set the gold standard for operational finance. You know how to distill complex financial data into digestible outputs and analysis
• Have experience owning budgets for major functional areas within an organization, and working with operators on day-to-day execution to achieve targets
