Job Title: Commercial Construction Superintendent

Description: We service the areas and counties within a 50 mile radius of Glen Burnie, MD. The work being done is mainly commercial renovation work (school renovations, airports, & retail properties) including local & state government facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Leading and managing the on-site construction team - 5 to 15 person crews at a time
• Coordinating and overseeing all work on site
• Attending production meetings.
• Reviewing and becoming familiar with the schedule and budget, and ensuring adherence to these.
• Ensuring quality standards are met.
• Placing orders for materials, and is responsible for equipment and materials on site.
• Following the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
• Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness.
• Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders, and RFIs.
• Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals.
• Prepare contracts or discuss revisions to contractual agreements with customers and subcontractors.
• Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subcontractors by telephone, e-mail, or mail
• Be familiar with all correspondents from owner to client during the duration of projects.

Qualifications/Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Commercial Construction Superintendent
• Must be computer literate - know how to respond via email & work comfortably on computers
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Ability to read & understand blueprints
• Great communication skills
• Computers/experience with using computer databases
• High level of organization
• Telephone skills
