## Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to assist the Asst. Director to effectively manage and supervise the high volume of testing services provided in the UT Dallas Testing Center. The supervisor will oversee staff, coordinate testing services, and assist in development of and implementation of procedures, goals, and objectives.

## Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of two or more years of professional experience in a testing center within a higher education institution and supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

## Preferred Education and Experience

Master's degree preferred.

## Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate or oversee daily operations in the Testing Center in the absence of the Asst. Director; Assist in daily test administration duties, proctoring high stakes exams such as instructional, correspondence, distance learning, placement, TSI, and other testing activities which may be required or requested; Assist in hiring, training, supervising, and directing the work of Testing Center staff and student workers to insure a well prepared staff to meet the daily testing workload, especially during peak periods; Develop, maintain and update services, policies, protocol and procedures in response to changing demands; Provide excellent customer service, maintain the confidentiality and security of test taker's information, safeguard and maintain the security of test materials and the testing environment; Maintain security of all exams and materials by routinely keeping an inventory of materials, reviewing procedures for security, ensuring secure storage and returning all tests and related materials to appropriate instructor and/or department; Critical need to follow procedures for testing in place to protect the confidentiality of students; Prepares, updates, and ensures accuracy of information provided to students regarding examination policies and procedures, application fees, and administration; Performs routine checks of testing facilities to guarantee successful testing with daily function of the Testing Center computers and software. Reports any malfunctions to the Software System Specialist; Maintain training manuals, testing statistical data; prepare monthly and annual reports; Attend mandatory meetings and training sessions; Implement and conduct workshops on academic testing; reservations, accommodations and related topics for faculty when required or requested; Work collaboratively, establish and maintain effective relationships with campus constituents, and represent the Testing Center and UT Dallas in a professional manner; Perform other duties as assigned.

## Special Instructions Summary

Work hours are Mon - Fri 12pm - 9pm; some morning and occasional Saturdays will be required as needed to support the Testing Center's schedule.
