1. To serve as a receptionist and an insurance assistant for the Student Health Center who is responsible for:
Directing students and visitors to the correct location within the building;
Ensuring that all drug representatives document any samples they may leave in the facility and that they wait in the appropriate areas for staff;
Issuing and maintaining parking permits and logs;
Requesting and scanning health insurance cards into the electronic health record
Assisting with the verification of eligibility for students who desire to be seen at the Student Health Center
Being cross trained to assistant other departments within the Student Health Center
Maintaining a positive customer service approach to carrying out duties.
2. To serve as Cashier for the Student Health Center who is responsible for:
Placing charges and accepting payments for services rendered;
Processes payments for services.
Assists with placing and removing holds on a student's bursar account;
Maintaining a cash drawer which is reconciled on a daily basis;
3. Performs other duties as assigned
High School Diploma or GED
Prefer medical office experience.
Must be customer friendly oriented;
Must be able to learn a medical software system;
Basic Bookkeeping knowledge;
Good organizational skills;
Must be able to accurately balance a cash drawer;
Must be able to make change;
Must have strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills;
Ability to maintain confidentiality of medical information;
Must have strong windows based computer skills;
