Job Description

The University of Saint Mary is a Roman Catholic, liberal arts university located in Leavenworth, Kansas, just 25 minutes away from Kansas City. This position is responsible for the coordination and support of USM's DPT program. In conjunction with leadership, will assist with the review and implementation of strategic initiatives set forth by the program. In addition to supporting the clinical education component of the DPT program, will provide essential support for all components of the program.


  • Responsible for the day-to-day coordination and support of the DPT program.
  • Maintain database of required clinical information; with Director, assure students and faculty are in compliance with established requirements.
  • Assist with and manage the Clinical Education Affiliation Agreements/contracts process.
  • Assist with and manage the Background Check, immunizations records, and required documents process for DPT students.
  • Assist with and manage the Clinical Education CI appreciation certificate process.
  • Coordinate HIPPA training for students prior to first clinical.
  • Assist with and manage the Clinical Education student placement process.
  • Assist with and manage components of DPT events to include, but not limited to, student orientation, White Coat Ceremony, Pinning Ceremony, Graduation, Research Symposium, and student interview day.
  • Interface with leadership and various administrative departments to ensure appropriate support for DPT program events.
  • Provide administrative and clerical support for staff and faculty.
  • Assists in the coordination of all adjunct information.
  • Represent the university at programs and fairs as well as events on/off campus.
  • Participate in USM committees as assigned.
  • Performs additional job related duties as assigned.


  • Three years of related work experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience working in a university or college environment preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ensure accuracy and attention to detail
  • Database and reporting experience.
  • Proven success in managing multiple projects and responsibilities.
  • Effective teambuilding and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work with minimum direction, and show initiative in problem solving.
  • Project a positive, professional, customer focused image for the university.
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Ability to use multiple technical applications including word processing, database management, spreadsheets, graphics and presentation software, electronic calendar, email, and other technical/scientific applications.
  • Previous experience with Internet, website maintenance and design preferred.
  • Affinity with the overall mission of the University of Saint Mary.
