Lecturer, Public Relations/Sports Media and Communications

This is a full-time academic year, non-tenure-track position, limited to 06/19/2021 with possible renewal.

The Harrington School of Communication and Media invites applications for a full-time lecturer position to teach courses in our public relations and sports media and communication majors.

Responsibilities include teaching four courses each semester, academic advising, and service to the programs, including as the faculty advisor for the student sports media club, the Anchor Sports Network. Primary teaching responsibilities include introductory and upper-level courses in sports media and public relations. Opportunities may be available to teach additional courses in communication studies.

The Harrington School is one of the nation’s leading schools of communication and media. Administratively housed within the College of Arts and Sciences, the largest college at the University of Rhode Island, the Harrington School is home to programs in communication studies, digital media, film/media, multimedia journalism, library and information studies, public relations, sports media and communication, and writing and rhetoric.
