Classics Faculty Professor Visiting Assistant

The Department of Classics at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor with a specialization in one or more of the following subjects: Greek and Roman Literature, Ancient Philosophy, Reception Studies, and Literary Theory.
The dates of appointment are September 1, 2022, through April 30, 2023, pending budgetary approval, and are potentially renewable for a second year. A Ph.D. is required at the time of appointment. Native or near-native (or ACTFL Superior-level) proficiency in English is also required. In addition to teaching courses in the context of the CPAS program, the position may require teaching general-education ancient literature and culture.
