In this role, you’ll collaborate with several cross-functional teams to develop and support critical Microsoft infrastructure that supports the University’s academic, research, and outreach mission. The ideal candidate will be a self-directed learner with a desire to understand the entire Microsoft ecosystem including Windows server, Azure and Azure Stack, Active Directory, SCCM, and support the deployment of core business applications supporting the research mission. Experience and a desire to leverage PowerShell and/or other programming and scripting languages to automate and orchestrate IT resources will be key to success.

Design, configure, install, upgrade, and maintain Windows systems.
Support and develop processes for server standards and automation for enterprise research applications.
Automate processes using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
Coordinate within cross-functional teams to architect, support, and maintain Microsoft server ecosystem.
Develop process and procedures for building and maintaining secure, stable, and reliable infrastructure.
Provide advanced operational support. Serve as escalation resource and provide guidance to service desk staff and junior staff for resolving routine system issues.
Manage, configure, and design systems for monitoring system performance and availability.
Participate in on-call rotation, which involves carrying a communication device and includes the expectation to respond during non-business hours to resolve production problems and perform scheduled off-hour activities.
Keep current on industry standards, emerging technologies and services such as Scaled Agile Framework, Cloud technologies, containerization and CI/CD pipelines.
Bachelor's degree and 2 years relevant experience OR a comparable combination of education, training, and experience.
Experience and proficiency in supporting Windows Server systems and a strong desire to keep learning.
