This person will direct tasks associated with the design, build, and programming of electrical control systems, manufacturing of parts and components, outreach, design, manufacture, and test of equipment necessary to accomplish the mission of the Advanced Manufacturing Center. The AMC exists to provide technical and machining support to Maine industry, the R & D functions of the University System, and the economic development efforts of the state and educate university student interns. **Typical hiring range for this soft-money funded position is $55,000 to $65,000 commensurate with qualifications and skills.**

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology or 5 years of equivalent experience. * Hands-on experience in design, building, and programming of electrical control systems.
* Journeyman or master electrician license. * Knowledge of electrical safety codes. * Experience in industrial hygiene and shop safety. * 2D and 3D computer aided electrical design utilizing Solid Works. * Electrical Cabinet design and Build experience. * CNC machine control experience and heavy industrial wiring. * Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative and to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
