Duties:
100Day to day activities may involve:
-Assist in book and periodical circulation
-Answer library phones and take messages
-Inform patrons of available library service
-Staff the Circulation Desk during lunch hours, special meetings, etc.Essential

The KPC Kenai River Campus Library is always looking for ways to assist students, faculty, and the public in optimizing research and information resources available locally, as well as via distance options. Please consider joining this progressive and innovate team of library professionals.
Knowledge/skills/abilities: Must respect library users and have strong customer relation skills;must have a good work ethic and be reliable for scheduled work times; must have knowledge of basic computer skills; office and/or library work experience and skills helpful.
This is a Student Assistant B Step 2 $9.89/hr Labor Pool at KPC. This position is for up to 20 hours per week; mornings Monday - Friday are essential.
NOTICE:Students must maintain enrollment and regular attendance for a minimum of at least 6 undergraduate credit hours or 6 graduate credit hoursto be exempt from FICA (Social Security and Medicare) tax. A credit hour load below the minimum required for full-time student status will require the withholding of FICA tax (non-resident aliens on an appropriate visa who meet student employment criteria will continue to be exempt from FICA regardless of credit hour load). While in a student position, a student cannot hold any other type of simultaneous employment with the university.
