Job Description

General Summary

The ITAD Operations Supervisor will manage the daily operations of the Shipping and Receiving, Triage, Electronics Refurbishing, Disassembly, and Quality Control and Inventory departments.  This role will implement and oversee all production, processes, quality, and efficiencies for the departments noted above.  This includes maintaining a safe workplace, ISO programs and compliance, and leading a diverse team of operations personnel and refurbishing technicians. The position requires you to work in tandem with the Plant Manager ensuring all special projects are implemented and completed.  In addition, this position will work with the Asset Resale Supervisor ensuring all service level agreements are met for data destruction and testing.

Essential Job Functions

  • Supervise personnel for shipping and receiving, triage, refurbishing/recovery, and quality control in accordance with plant policies and procedures, including hiring, coaching and counseling of personnel , time and attendance, and training.
  • Control the process flow of materials to be refurbished and resold and ensure all customer service level agreements are being satisfied.
  • Operate inventory management system to include processing, disassembly, testing, and refurbishing of all materials in the refurbishing/resale process to create finished goods for the resale process.
  • Communicate with other stakeholders and supervisors to ensure smooth transitions in regards to items including but not limited to: production changes, procedure updates and transfers between facilities.
  • Operate within set Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
  • Mentor department staff and motivate production personnel to safely meet or exceed production throughput goals.
  • Meet and address safety requirements for all facility personnel, to include authorization of equipment operation, and train/enforce EHS standards
  • Complete daily production and safety reports as required.
  • Fill in for production roles as needed.
  • Training of all assigned operations personnel.
  • Design, implement, sustain and enforce all departmental work instructions and job standards.
  • Ensure all sorted commodities and refurbished products meet all quality standards for resale.
  • Refine current processes and develop new processes as required.
  • Responsible for leading implementation and sustainment of ITAD processes in all URT facilities.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Must meet minimum security requirements of Asset Recovery Department
  • Proven leader with high integrity with the ability to work independently and lead teams in a collaborative environment
  • Experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical aptitude with solid understanding of office technologies and hardware
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with all Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently, stand and walk for extended periods, climb ladders, and work overhead

Education and Experience

  • Three to five years of supervisory experience responsible for direct supervision of 5 or more employees, preferably in manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience testing/repairing various types of electronics and information technology equipment preferred
  • Familiarity with information technology equipment to include computing devices, mobile technologies, networking devices, and basic business and office technology equipment
  • Prefer Associates Degree in Computer Technology related field  or A+ certification and/or equivalent relative experience
