Northwest Texas Healthcare System is assisting Texas Tech University in Amarillo, Dept. of Pediatrics in recruiting a Pediatric Intensivist in Amarillo, TX.
The position will be an employed Faculty position in the Pediatrics Department with Texas Tech Physicians of Amarillo, the faculty multispecialty group. The group is comprised of faculty and staff from the Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Medicine, and enjoys a strong reputation throughout the region. The Pediatric sub-group currently has 26 physicians on staff, including 9 Pediatricians, 12 pediatric sub-specialists, 4 Neonatologists and 1 Pediatric Intensivist. Care will be provided at the 12-bed PICU at Northwest Children?s Hospital at Northwest Texas Healthcare System. The position will include typical critical care duties including vent management, central lines and sedation, and also includes teaaching medical students and Pediatric residency physicians. Call will be shared equally on a 1:2 rotation with the other Intensivist.
BC/BE in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine required, with experience preferred. Compensation includes a base salary and full benefits package along with academic appointment.
