An air compressor field service technician is sought with experience in compression, blower or vacuum systems maintenance and repair. Markets served include industrial, chemical, pharmaceutical, alternate fuels, pollution control, R&D, military, marine, manufacturing or medical industries. Currently a territory is available within the State Virginia, Norfolk region. At least 5 years of similar, industry specific experience is preferred in VA or an adjacent State's territory. This new member of our field service team would report to the Field Service Manager and be supported by an established customer technical services team. The customer service organization includes engineering and manufacturing/fabrication staff, mechanics, technicians, and aftermarket support experts. Some overnight travel is required. - Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion
- Estimate time and extent of repairs
- Perform routine preventive maintenance
- Maintain material and supply inventory
- Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary
- Must have a strong controls and electronics background
- Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields
- Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Deadline and detail-oriented
