The Strategy Coordinator is accountable for ensuring stewardship of organizational resources, and supporting the United Way of Central Carolinas mission to end poverty and improve economic mobility. As a member of the Community Impact team, this individual will work closely and collaboratively with internal stakeholders to create seamless organizational alignment with defined community impact strategies and programs. An ideal candidate would be a highly organized strategic thinker and skilled learner committed to ensuring a high level of accountability and effectiveness in supporting and understanding the needs of the greater Charlotte community.

Accountability and Responsibilities

  • Effectively prepares, manages, and maintains all communication, scheduling, and record keeping associated with Advisory Council, Technical Committee, and Project Management Team Meeting, as well as other identified projects, work-plans, and focus groups.
  • Provides ongoing support for the creation and execution of the A Home for All Implementation Plan by planning and leading community outreach and engagement efforts.
  • Creates, and conducts presentations to a wide-array of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provides ongoing support for the Director of Housing Solutions with creation of meeting agendas, presentations, or other ongoing administrative support.
  • Supports and assists Evaluation Manager with communication, scheduling, and record keeping associated with training and technical assistance.
  • Manages, prepares and runs reports & provide analysis as needed.
  • Identifies, tracks and achieves agreed upon success metrics within department and organizationally
  • Represents department as needed on strategic cross-functional teams
  • Supports the community impact team by providing guidance, and leadership among all key stakeholders of key programs
  • Attends major conventions, global summits, and important regional meetings
  • Learns and grows professionally by learning through various avenues, but not limited to: online courses, in-person classes, seminars, conferences, books, etc.
  • Serve as a proactive and contributing member to the UWCC team, performing duties and providing support outside of the functions listed above

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent administrative and / or project management experience
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft applications
  • Strong written/oral communication skills with public speaking experience
  • Strong meeting facilitation skills
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail
  • The Covid-19 vaccination is required as a condition of employment.
