United Way for Southeastern Michigan is seeking a collaborative leader to serve as the Senior Director of the organization's Community Information and Referral (I&R) services. UWSEM's I&R services are powered by the 2-1-1, the region's largest and most comprehensive source for local health and social service information. As the public face of UWSEM's Information and Referral Services, the Senior Director must have an engaging, compelling presence, and be passionate about the role that UWSEM and 2-1-1 play in supporting access to safety-net services for our community to anyone in need. This position is responsible for the overall leadership of the organization's Information and referral services and related activities including the development, and implementation of short and long-range plans and annual budgets.
The position has an emphasis on managing and sharing data generated through I&R with internal program leads and external stakeholders related to community needs or service gaps. Additionally, this position is responsible for developing and operationalizing the organization's involvement in responding to community-level disaster events; including implementation of processes and protocols and maintaining critical relationships with regional and state nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, and community groups to insure proper coordination and involvement.
A bachelor's degree in human or social sciences, nonprofit management, public administration, client services or a related field. A master's degree preferred.
A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in nonprofit program management, client-services, or a related field.
A minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience, including management of client-facing staff.
