Founded in 1974 by Dr. Michael Lender, Orange Veterinary Hospital cares for dogs, cats, pocket pets and their families in Orange, Milford, West Haven, New Haven, Woodbridge, Bethany, Stratford, as well as many other towns in Connecticut. As a member of the community for over 40 years, we aim to provide the best medical care available and the best service we can to our clients. In addition to our state-of-the-art medical facility, we also have the Animal Inn, an on-site boarding, bathing, and grooming facility.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Feed, water, walk, exercise, and bathe animals in our care as needed
  • Bring animals to and from the kennel during check-in and check-out times
  • Always maintain sanitary conditions of hospital & kennel facilities
  • Supervise all dog play groups
  • Monitor animals and immediately report health or behavior abnormalities to management
  • Operate laundry and dishwashing
  • Organize play groups with boarding and daycare dogs
  • Administer medications as needed
  • Assist coworkers with other duties
  • Assist doctors and technicians with medical procedures as necessary

  • Compassionate and proficient client and patient care

  • Ability to multitask
  • Comfortable handling both cats and dogs
  • Flexibility (ability to work weekends and holidays)
  • Detail-orientated
  • Professionalism
  • Ability to lift +40 lbs
