Job Description
United Talent Staffing is seeking SCADA Analyst to join the Hope Gas team at their Morgantown, WV. This role for is responsible for planning, implementation and support for IT infrastructure including servers, storage, operating systems, databases, networks, and SCADA.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage the SCADA systems for a gas utility, including software, operator consoles, and communications equipment.
- Collaborate with management and peers to understand SCADA and Operational Technology support requirements; research and advise on available options, develop documentation and training, schedule and implement necessary system changes to meet regulatory requirements, technology advancements, and changing operating procedures.
- Support field personnel for installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of field devices as well as update SCADA databases and displays to keep systems synchronized with changes made in the field.
- Research requirements, coordinate and perform installation process, test, resolve problems, implement in production and monitor system performance.
- Provide technical support on a 24 hour; 7-day basis. Debug and resolve problems; implement modifications to existing systems as required. (Shared)
- Develop and utilize departmental standards and procedures.
- Facilitate team environment via sharing of knowledge and information across organization.
- Maintain up to date skill level and knowledge of industry directions.
Main Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
- Demonstrated related experience may be substituted for preferred education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum three years critical IT systems experience.
- Minimum one year of SCADA system configuration and management experiences (Gas company experience highly preferred)
- Proficiency with infrastructure back-end systems including but not limited to Windows server, Networking, Active Directory, DNS, Storage, and Serial and TCP communications.
- Knowledge and understanding of SCADA systems and environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, project management and communication skills.
- Up to date skill level and knowledge of utility industry directions.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to research, develop and prepare supporting documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
