Electronic Technician II

United Support Services, Inc., founded in 2003, is an innovative engineering and technology business headquartered in San Diego, CA. We have an exciting new opportunity and are adding to our maintenance team. USS is seeking an Electronic Technician II to provide support at Naval Air Station North Island. This position is for an individual who is able to independently support contracted efforts to include the following functional duties along with the ability to conduct work involving the following:

Job Description

• Shall work under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft electrical/mechanical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts.
• Will receive technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft mechanical/electrical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts.
• Must have basic knowledge of electrical theory, must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as torque wrenches, dial indicators and other electrical test equipment.
• This job requires working knowledge of technical publications.
• Will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks.
• Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
• Any and all other duties as assigned by the Site Manager.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States (U.S.).
• Must be able to obtain restricted areas (RA) and critical information systems access via eligibility to attain and maintain a CAC card.
• At a minimum three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Be familiar with all relevant publications, directives, orders, and tooling.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license if billet requires use of a government owned vehicle.
• Must be able to pass a background check and if the position requires it be eligible to receive a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.

Special Conditions

This job is CONTINGENT upon contract award, client approval, completion of a favorable background investigation, and the ability to obtain and maintain a military base access card at all times during the period of employment.

Salary:

The hourly rate for this position is $37.38. This value does not include any differential pay.
