The Sales Account Specialist will report to the Inside Sales Manager and is responsible for account development and management. This position is responsible for the creation of new sales opportunities and maximizing profit from existing accounts. This will be accomplished through campaign planning and execution (with the assistance of upper management) and individualized account analysis/planning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Quoting customer inquiries
Inside sales, order entry and writing of all job processing sheets
Works with management to create and execute account plans.
Maintains regular contact with existing accounts.
Makes weekly cold calls. (limited)
Collects and disseminates relevant sales intelligence from all sales activities. This includes communication to relevant parties / individuals in the company.
Exhibits teamwork with multiple departments and field sales rep
Assists existing accounts.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR SUCCESS
Strong communication skills including the ability to effectively interact face-to-face, via e-mail or by telephone with customers and staff that report to this position. Additionally requires the ability to effectively communicate findings and other relevant data to upper management.
Strong math skills, such as the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, circumference and volume. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
Strong analytical skills, such as the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions / resolutions.
Stron understanding the of common computer programs like Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to create hard and soft copy communication and presentations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE (PREFERED)
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university. Prefer one to three years related experience and/or training; but it is not required.
