Job Description

As a member of the UBI team this position is responsible for assisting the Internal Auditor with audit functions by collecting, compiling, and documenting pertinent information. This position assists with analyzing accounting and audit results and writing related reports, as well as assisting with internal audits and expanding on the areas currently audited. Follows-up to ascertain that appropriate action is taken on reported audit findings. This position will also assist the Financial Officer with appropriate accounting duties. Sells and promotes all bank services in such a way as to enhance the bank's image within the community

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor of Science or Arts degree or 1 - 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Strong reading, writing, and verbal skills to review, interpret and analyze financial and operating information and prepare clear, concise written and oral reports.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to calculate amounts such as interest, discounts and percentages, and interpret financial reports.

REASONING ABILITY:

Comprehend and understand bank operations, policies (manuals) and procedures.

Independent judgment to recognize and maintain confidential information.

Understand and apply standard internal auditing/accounting concepts and principles.

Independent mental attitude to maintain objectivity and high ethical conduct.

OTHER SKILLS:

Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team to complete tasks effectively and efficiently by building and nurturing strong relationships with other UBI team members.

Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with employees, managers, and directors.

Organizational skills to plan and perform assigned duties in an orderly, productive manner.

Problem solving skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Audit/Accounting skills to perform assigned duties with technical proficiency and due professional care.

Computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database software to generate correspondence and reports.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

None required.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Anticipated work schedule will be Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
