CATEGORY: Information Technology Description Senior Network / IT Associate - Northern Virginia Salary 70k - 90k based upon experience - Comprehensive benifit package The Senior Network / IT Associate will design, install, modify, monitor, and maintain the network and computer systems. Exceptional analytical skills are required to troubleshoot issues and deliver secure, creative, value-driven solutions. Responsibilites • Establish VPN, LAN, WAN and DMZ specifications by conferring with users; analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols. • Continually improve the networks by monitoring and evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls. • Secure networks by developing and implementing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation systems, maintaining documentation. • Administer servers, virtual servers, NAS, SAN, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches. • Maintain network facilities in all machines, such as drivers and settings of personal devices and printers. • Maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN Gateways, and intrusion detection systems. • Participate in continuing education opportunities; maintain personal networks • Maintain inventory of equipment, parts and documentation of configurations, standards, and vendor activities. • Protect organizational value by keeping information confidential. • Accomplish organizational goals through ownership of tasks and requests Senior Network Administrator Skills and Qualifications: • Network Performance Tuning; VPN, LAN, WAN and DMZ Knowledge • Network Design and Implementation • Problem Solving; Multi-tasking; Quality Focus; Coordination and Teamwork • Independent and Self Starter; Quick Study • Professional • Effective • Communication: Active Directory, Exchange, Gmail, Google Patch Management, Image Deployment, iSCSI, VMWare and Windows 2012 Administration Experience • Exceptional Analytical Skills • 10 years of combined relevant experience and education; MCSE, MCSA or CCNA LOCATION: VA, Lorton FULL-TIME/PART-TIME: Full-Time SHIFT: Days PI145415310
