A Project Manager's Day
As an Information Technology Project Manager, you will create and maintain information technology (IT) project plans that communicate tasks, milestones dates, statuses, and resource allocations. You will utilize software life-cycle methodology. Coordinate delivery of development (beta) and production releases that meet quality assurance standards. You will assist the technical team with design and development tasks. Also, help the testing team in creating test plans and testing efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
These duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide top-notch external and internal customer service reflecting Union's values.
- Consult with management and review project proposals to determine goals, time frames, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of resources.
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business needs in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
- Identify and manages project dependencies and critical paths.
- Coordinate recruitment or assignment of project personnel including assignment of duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
- Negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Direct, oversee, and provide support to project teams and manages conflicts within the group.
- Influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify the schedules and plans as required.
- Reports project progress, problems, and solutions to management and stakeholders. Liaises with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Develop and maintain technical and project documentation.
- Coordinate project activities with marketing, sales, engineering, operations, customer support, and client staff to ensure goals and requirements are met.
- Effectively drive project team activities.
- Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collect and research data; Use intuition and experience to complement data.
- Design workflows and procedures.
- Initiate creative solutions and develop alternatives driven by feedback from the group.
- Applies design principles; Demonstrates attention to detail.
- Focus on solving conflict, not blaming.
- Demonstrates skillful and effective group presentation skills. Speaks persuasively in positive or negative situations.
- Write clear, professional, and informative reports and documentation.
- Build morale and group commitments toward goals and objectives supporting everyone's efforts to succeed.

Qualifications
- 21 years old or older
- Flexible schedule
- Ability to work in a drug-free workplace.
- High School Diploma or associate degree and at least five years of project management experience, with 7,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education. or A four-year degree (bachelor's degree or the global equivalent) AND at least three years of project management experience, with 4,500 hours leading and directing projects and 35 hours of project management education.
- PMP Certification - Project Management Professional, or valid preparation for obtaining the PMP within 6-months of hire.
