Background & Purpose of the Job
This position will support the Customer Business Managers on the Kroger Beauty and Personal Care team. This entails proactive analysis of current business trends, which includes identifying future opportunities and minimizing potential risks to the existing business. The position will require proficient skills in managing Kroger's system, IRI, Stratum, & Hyperion/Essbase sales reporting system. The person is responsible for weekly reporting and analysis. Significant interaction with the customer is required.
Who You Are & What You'll Do
The position will require advanced skills in managing, Stratum, IRI, as well as being proficient Microsoft Office. The ideal candidate should have exceptional Excel skills. The role is responsible for weekly analysis and reporting of sales, trends, and competitive activity, along with creating actionable insights from the analysis of these trends.
+ You're a strategy guru: The position will interact daily with Supply Chain, Insights, category management, shopper marketing, and our retail teams to drive our business and ensure goals are met. Significant interaction with the customer is required.
+ You love to win, and have fun doing it: The position will require managing multiple data feeds and analyzing that data to find the nugget of information that will enable our team to win in the marketplace. A highly analytical background along with a desire to win are attributes needed for our candidate to succeed in this role
+ You're a storyteller: The position will require timely communication and in-depth analytical support focused on business solutions. Reporting and managing professional presentations are necessary for the role, but the ideal candidate will also have the ability to effectively communicate that idea or story.
+ You're a dot connector: The position will require the ability to retrieve and analyze many different data points from multiple sources. The ideal candidate will have the ability to connect these points quickly to understand emerging trends as they are happening
What You'll Need to Succeed
+ Education: Bachelor's degree in business or marketing
+ Computer skills required: Excel & Power Point.
+ Customer management, customer service or finance background is a plus.
+ Minimum 1-year related experience: demonstrating knowledge of customer, data, systems and ability to analyze info and trends to make recommendations required.
+ Microsoft Office: Excel & Power Point proficiency required
+ Breakthrough Thinking - The position will require initiative on the part of the person to work independently and deliver results.
+ Problem Solving -Will need to exercise good judgment and routinely make decisions to support the day to day business.
