Position Available: Production Roles

Production Employee - Soil Receiving, Truck Unloading

As a Soil Receiver, Truck Unloader, you will be responsible for:

  • Unloading soiled products from trucks
  • Separating products by type
  • Weighing soiled product and hoisting/storing until next process
  • Handling reductions - modifications to the customer's account (either adding or removing product)
  • Following all safety policies and rules

Production Employee – Stockroom & Inventory Control
As a Production Team Partner in the Stockroom, you will be responsible for general duties assigned by your supervisor within the Stockroom setting. Responsibilities can include but are not limited to:

  • Adding and replacing garments when necessary
  • Inspecting and counting products upon return from service routes
  • Completing paperwork and recordkeeping in a timely manner
  • Maintaining a clean stockroom area
  • Processing out-of-service uniforms returned from routes
  • Order picking, garment grading, and emblem processing as needed

*Tasks can be subject to change based on Supervisor’s direction

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to stand and walk for an 8 hour shift
  • Some individual tasks require heavy lifting, must be able to carry up to 80lbs

Production Employee – Pre-Tunnel Inspection
As a person in our Pre-Tunnel Inspection area employees are responsible for the following tasks:

  • Counting garments
  • Hanging garments to be processed through the steam tunnel
  • Visually inspecting all garments for tears, holes, stains, and damage
  • Ensuring all items meet UniFirst’s Customer standards and pass inspection process
  • Following all safety rules and policies

*Tasks can be subject to change based on Supervisor’s direction

Qualifications

  • Ability to stand for an 8 hour shift
  • Ability to read, write, and clearly communicate with supervisor
  • Some individual tasks require lifting 25-30 lbs. for short periods of time and pushing of heavy carts, may require heavy lifting of 75 lbs. or more at times
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required
