Sales Account Manager

JOB SUMMARY
The Account Manager performs a variety of duties and has responsibilities for driving and meeting domestic sales targets, growing our market share, and establishing new markets. Incumbent will manage relationships between existing customers while aloud uncovering new customer opportunities, in conjunction with lead generation activities. Provides support (e.g., technical, administrative, etc.)to the sales/marketing, customer service and other company managers. Project a professional company image through in-person and phone, and written interaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Work with existing sales channel to develop and close new customer accounts and expand sale volume within the existing customer base
• Assist and/or drive the sales cycle to include prospect identification; relationship development; needs assessment; competitive product positioning; negotiation and sale close, via phone and email
• Pursue qualified leads and seek add-on sales opportunities
• Provide proactive customer service and responds to requests for information and sales quotes timely
• Partner and support with outside sales personnel to create revenue
• Develop excellent relationships with the customer base while managing a high volume of processing activities
• Generate new leads through cold calling and other proactive measures
• Follow up customers and potential customers quotes, product samples and other lead generation
• Build and manage distributor network which includes:
- Finding and qualifying distributors
- Meeting and training
- Participating in joint end user meetings
- Supplying necessary sales tools
- Promoting new products
- Forwarding and following up on new leads
- Providing technical support
- Understanding distributor's own systems
• Attend tradeshows, displaying product samples, etc. and/or greeting new/existing customer prospects; managing leads and follow up with leads, post tradeshow
• Travel domestically (approximately 25%), inclusive of overnight for up to 5 days at a time to attend customer and distributor meetings and training, as well as tradeshows
• Generate sale trip reports along with weekly activity reports
• Assist with sales forecasting and competitive market analysis
• Support the marketing team as needed when exploring new markets or products
• Managing end user accounts
• Performs other duties or responsibilities assigned over the course of employment

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or other related discipline, or commensurate work experience
• 5+ years of direct sales and account management experience, preferrable in the label or tape industries
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in written form; and to communicate in spoken English
• Strong computer skills using MS-Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• •Maintain 1) reliable and safe transportation to for business travel, 2) State driver's license, 3) proper vehicle registration, and 4) State's minimum automobile insurance coverage requirement.
