The Division of Community Recovery, Research and Training (CRRT), Department of Psychiatry at UT Health San Antonio are seeking a Specialist for a faculty position in San Antonio, Texas. The position will support research efforts within CRRT and aid in development of psychosocial service contracts and delivery of evidence based clinical services within the myriad of outpatient programs for adults with serious mental illness and substance use disorders. The applicant must have a master's degree in counseling, behavioral sciences, or social sciences with extensive experience in conducting behavioral sciences research, writing plans for research grant submissions, conducting statistical analyses, and writing scientific manuscripts. The faculty appointment will be within the Department of Psychiatry and Joe R. & Teresa Lozano-Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio. This position will involve supporting all aspects of research and patient care within the division of CRRT and Department of Psychiatry.
This position will involve serving as a research investigator and clinician. As an investigator, the faculty member will provide support for ongoing research studies and collaborate on the development and submission of research grant applications as a co-investigator or principal investigator. As a clinician, the faculty member will assist in delivery of evidence based practices, clinical program development, contracting for specialized services and ongoing supervision, and mentorship of graduate students, interns, residents, postdoctoral fellows, and master's level clinical staff members.
Preferred qualifications include:
? Experience in grant submissions and working on research projects funded through the National Institutes of Health, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the Department of State Health Services, and private foundations
? Experience with modern data analytic and analysis approaches for behavioral sciences research
? Experience in program design, development, and evaluation
? Familiarity with different payer models for delivery and reimbursement of evidence based patient care
? Experience with county and state initiatives for the treatment of those with serious mental illness and substance use disorders
? A licensed clinician who can independently deliver mental health services
? A history of publications in peer-reviewed journals
