Job Summary:

As a member of the IIMS Community
Engagement (CE) Team, this person will serve as a liaison with two
practice-based research networks (PBRNs).
This person will help to develop and implement research projects by
working closely with PBRN Directors, advisory boards, and network members. In addition, this person will work the IIMS CE
Team to provide research infrastructure support to enhance community
responsiveness, research relevance, scientific value, and public health impact.

Job Duties:

COMMUNICATION AND RELATIONSHIP BUILDING
+ Conduct site visits
+ Maintain routine correspondence with office
staff via phone, email, and fax to sustain and develop relationships with
networks
+ Recruit new PBRN members
+ Support community events of local network practices
as needed
+ Represent PBRN Directors as needed at local
meetings and events
+ Communicate IIMS and CE-related opportunities to
networks
+ Draft brief articles for the IIMS newsletter

PROVIDE EDUCATION AND TRAINING
+ Assist practitioners, staff, and advisory boards
with CITI Training certification (and study implementation)
+ Train practitioners, staff, and advisory boards on
study protocol procedures including but not
limited to participant recruitment, data collection, and/or intervention
facilitation


PROVIDE RESEARCH AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT
+ Assist with the design and implementation
(including, but not limited to study protocol development; subject recruitment;
data collection and management; and/or intervention facilitation ) of studies
collaboratively developed with network members and other community partners
+ Work closely with investigators to develop and
submit documentation for IRB review; provide updates to IRB as needed
+ Work collaboratively with networks to respond to
funding opportunities including but not limited to identifying helpful research
manuscripts, writing literature reviews, and/or collecting extant data
+ Collect, clean, manage, and store data
+ Conduct quantitative analyses - complex
univariate and bivariate
+ Coordinate qualitative research activities
including focus groups
+ Draft manuscripts, technical reports and/or research
posters and collaboratively finalize with PBRN partners
+ Draft newsletters and collaboratively finalize
and share with PBRN partners
+ Provide technical assistance (tables,
references, formatting) for grants and
manuscripts
ADMINISTRATIVE AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT

+ Coordinate (and prepare meeting materials) for
face-to-face and teleconference meetings
+ Oversee travel arrangements, vendor payee setup,
voucher preparation, reimbursements for payments for individual network members
as needed
+ Submit catering, parking, and room reservation
requests for network meetings
+ Provide audiovisual and computer setup for
meetings
+ Assist with travel arrangements, voucher
preparation, reimbursements for payment as needed

Education:
Bachelor's degree in an educational/social science or related field is required.
Experience:
Two (2) years of related experience is required.
