Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine, is recruiting for the position of Pediatric
Heart Surgeon at the preferred rank of Associate Professor or Professor. The
selected candidate will be appointed in the Division of Pediatric
Cardiothoracic Surgery and ideally will be Chief of Pediatric Cardiac Surgery
within the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery and the Heart Center at
University Children's Health. A proven track record of success in translational
research and a continued interest to pursue this area of academic work would be
desirable. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellence in team
building as well as surgical and communication skills.
Candidate must be board certified in
Thoracic surgery as well as Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgery, or the
international equivalent and be able to obtain a Texas medical license. There
will be expectations of academic productivity, clinical productivity, teaching,
program development, collections, and research activity. A commitment to
academic and clinical excellence is expected.
