UOVO,the nation’s leading storage and services provider for art, archives, and collectibles, seeks a full-time Warehouse Coordinator to join its dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong organization skills, experience working in storage and collection management and will be enthusiastic about a meticulous, detail-oriented role. The Warehouse Coordinator will report to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Core Responsibilities
- Efficient scheduling of all internal warehouse work in conjunction with the Warehouse Supervisor, including but not limited to installations and de-installations, large-scale pack jobs, general warehousing and high-touch client assists, prioritizing safety of property and positive client experience
- Manage and allocate art handler assignments on UOVO’s operational systems, ensuring all Internal Warehouse team members have the information necessary to complete their daily assignments
- Provide accurate updates to both the Operations and Account Management team should scope changes occur that may affect the day’s overall schedule, being solutions-oriented in their approach
- Assess warehouse labor needs daily, liaising with adjacent departments to ensure overall efficiency on shared manpower needs
- Escalate any labor-related concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor and the Director of Operations as needed
- Reconcile material and labor costs within UOVO’s database to complete all work orders so that they are accurate for billing
- Confirm all work is executed to meet deadlines
- Work across various departments to problem solve and prepare for upcoming work
- Assist in adhering and actively enforcing all OSHA safety requirements for all Internal Operational areas
- In conjunction with other key stakeholders, work with other UOVO locations to streamline product offerings and establish best practices as it pertains to scheduling
- Other tasks as assigned by Manager
Qualifications & Skills
- Team Player who can work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Comfortable in a results-driven workplace
- 5-7 years of logistical and art handling experience is valued but not required
- Knowledge of art handling best practices, including packing, framing, wrapping, installations, and crating preferred
- Ability to learn UOVO’s software systems
- Ability to quickly prioritize and allocate resources
- Pro-active and solution oriented with the ability to think creatively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Excellent organizational skills
- Best in class communication skills both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
- Ability to push and pull 150 pounds on a dolly or cart, as well as 50 pounds without mechanical aid
- Ability to carry 40 pounds of varying size and shape up to a distance of 90 feet
- Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and reach overhead
- Ability to be exposed to outside weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain and snow
- Familiarity with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, pry lever bars, dollies and other warehouse equipment
