Who we are looking for:
The best leaders who also happen to be licensed Nurse Practitioners (NP, ARNP, FNP, APRN) and Physician Assistants (PA-C)
Main Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to):
- Lead and develop collaborative multidisciplinary wound care teams in skilled nursing facilities
- Travel to scheduled locations weekly for wound rounds or wound treatment at various facilities and homes in an assigned region
- Provide the highest quality wound care and vascular services to patients in the Community Vascular clinic
- Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic studies to assess change to patients’ health care needs
- Perform wound care including: wound assessment, dressing application, pressure relief, pain/odor control, and minor surgical procedures
- Perform vascular care including: physical assessment, LLE doppler and US, pre, peri, and post management, post procedure follow up
- Track the progress of wound healing and vascular conditions; document timely per company policies
- Develop a treatment plan for wound care based on the individual needs of each patient
- Collaborate virtually with our medical leadership including board certified physicians and surgeons specializing in wound care, dermatology, and infectious disease
- Support the Community Vascular wound care Medical Director in a brand new wound and vascular clinic
- Be a leader in motivating and encouraging patients and patient caregivers
- Provide clear direction to achieve goals, creating an environment that fosters team commitment and employee engagement
- Attend regularly scheduled team meetings, “Grand Rounds,” for continued training, team building, and leadership development
- Accomplish other tasks as assigned
Skills required to succeed:
- Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP, FNP, ARNP, APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) licensed in working state
- Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license
- Driving! You must have reliable transportation; valid driver’s license and current auto insurance
- 1-2 years of wound care, critical care, and/or surgical experience (highly preferred, but not required); extensive training available
- This fast-paced position requires standing for extended amounts of time
- Must maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, dignity, and safety
- Leadership qualities with the ability to work well within a team of healthcare providers
- Proficient in MS Office (specifically Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Must be self-motivated, punctual, dependable, and able to work/schedule appointments independently
- Ability to respond appropriately to constant change in priorities and services
- Acute attention to detail with a strong, self-sufficient work ethic
- Excellent organization and use of time management skills
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people through both verbal and written communication lines
- Must be trustworthy, honest and have a positive and professional attitude
Compensation: $106,000.00 - $130,000.00 DOE
This position is classified as: Salary, Exempt; Full-Time employment
Hours: Typical hours are Monday through Friday; varied hours between 8:00am – 5:00pm, no nights, weekends
