The School of Business at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Management with a primary teaching and scholarship emphasis on Business Strategy/Business Policy/Strategic Planning to start Fall 2020. Rank is open. Salary and rank are commensurate with education and experience.
The School of Business is accredited by the Association for Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
Potential for, or evidence of, successful teaching is required. The successful candidate will deliver undergraduate and MBA classes in Business Strategy/Business Policy/Strategic Planning. Beyond Business Strategy/Business Policy/Strategic Planning, specific course assignment will be based on strengths of the faculty member as well as department need. The standard teaching load is 3 courses per semester; delivery will be on campus and online depending on department needs. Opportunities for Summer teaching are available.
Potential for, or evidence of, ongoing publication in peer-reviewed journals is required. A primary scholarship emphasis on Business Strategy/Business Policy/Strategic Planning as well as related Management topics is required. Ongoing peer-reviewed publication is required to maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic (SA) status, and for tenure and promotion consideration.
Service to the University/School/Department (including student advisement) as well as the profession and the broader community is required, as are organizational citizenship behaviors for the betterment of the university and key stakeholders.
