The mission of the Center for Gastrointestinal Biology and Disease is to promote and enhance multidisciplinary research to reduce the burden of digestive diseases. The Research Scholar position will conduct research on the role of various food additives used regularly in 21st Century Western diets and how it influences intestinal inflammation and the disordered bacterial community composition.
Qualifications and Experience
Background in Food Science and Technology or a closely related field. The candidate should have experience in research related to intestinal inflammation and with gnotobiotic mice selectively colonized with selected bacteria or complex human microbiota after fecal transplant.
