Position title

Research Collaboration Scientist 

Locations: Davis, California; Houston, Texas; St. Louis, Missouri; Seattle, Washington

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Major responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to experiment design, data collection, protocol development, phantom study, equipment/algorithm evaluation, image post processing, drafting papers and technology transfer support.
 Participate in modality development meetings within business units, including Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Molecular Imaging, Computed Tomography, X-ray and Software;
 Act as a consultant on scientific project design within UIH and with outside collaborators;
 Develop advanced imaging methods, analysis algorithms, MR sequences, image reconstruction algorithms, and image post-processing tools;
 Seek intellectual property protections with collaborators;
 Publish articles on peer-reviewed journals;
 Present in domestic and international scientific conferences;
 Apply for research grants with collaborators;
 Provide educational services and training to customers in the form of periodic lectures and presentations.
 Qualification & Requirements
 Ph.D. in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related fields. Master’s degree with extensive experiences will also be considered;
 Good track record of scientific publications in medical imaging-related journals;
 Proficiency in C/C++ or other programming language;
 Strong interpersonal skills;
 Proven ability in leading research projects;
 Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
 Qualification & Requirements
Preferred Skills & Experience

Detailed technical knowledge of one or more of the following fields: MR, PET/CT, PET/MRI, CT, XR, machine learning (deep learning) and image post processing methods;
 Working experience as clinical research scientist at universities or industrial on-site scientist in hospitals;
 First-authored articles in top peer-reviewed journals;
 Excellent communication and influencing skills;
 Ability to relocate domestically and internationally.
