Financial Reporting Manager

The Manager of Financial Reporting is responsible for all internal and external reporting (including SEC), providing technical accounting support to the department and company, and will have direct responsibility for various technical accounting areas. This new position will play a significant role in supporting the Corporate Controller in all financial accounting and reporting areas, including financial statement analysis, and will have the ability to gain exposure to various other functions in the Finance area as the position evolves.

Financial Reporting Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares SEC filings and supporting documentation (10K, 10Q's, Proxy, etc.).
• Prepares financial statements and supporting information.
• Provides technical accounting support to the Corporate Controller and the global business units in the application of U.S. GAAP.
• Assists business units and Corporate Controller in identifying and resolving accounting issues.
• Drafts accounting policies for new accounting pronouncements and ensure that existing policies reflect current accounting guidance.
• Manages the lease accounting process.
• Manages the equity accounting process (RSU's, Stock Options, etc.).
• Supports Revenue Accounting Manager to ensure proper timing of revenue recognition.
• Designs and maintains all periodic financial reports within the internal reporting system.
• Prepares and files other periodic external financial reports as necessary (bank and census reporting).
• Supports accounting team with the month-end close process to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with company and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Supports quarter-end reviews and year-end audits performed by public accounting firm.
• Provides support to other financial and related tax, bank, and insurance audits.
• Supports Controller with on-demand investigation to explain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial variances.
• Performs special accounting and finance related projects as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 5 -8 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Recent public accounting experience required.
• Experience in a Big 4 firm with an audit background is preferred.
• Current CPA license is strongly preferred.
• SEC reporting experience required.
• Experience researching and documenting complex technical accounting issues for both U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and reporting standards.
• High proficiency in Microsoft applications (with advanced Excel skills) is required.
• Understanding of cost and inventory accounting, a plus.
• Epicor ERP systems experience, a plus.
• Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as a level-headed demeanor.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Team player, acting with impeccable confidentiality and professionalism.
