Make beds, changes sheets, towels, and other linens and collects soiled linens. Thoroughly clean guest room to include dusting, waxing and polishing furniture, sweeping floors, vacuuming (using heavy industrial-type vacuum cleaner), and emptying wastebaskets. May use heavy (industrial-type ) equipment. Cleans, sanitizes, scours, and deodorizes guest's bathroom to include toilet, wash bin, urinal, and tub/shower stall. Washes and replaces Venetian/mini blinds, changes light bulbs, washes ceiling fixtures, walls, windows, and doors. Turn mattresses, dust drapes, sanitize all fixtures and bedding with disinfectant. Cleans mirrors and sinks. Dusts ledges and woodwork. Services rooms daily with fresh soap, cups, coffee, and carious guest amenities. Reports missing or broken articles to housekeeper leader or supervisor. May be required to move heavy furniture, supplies and equipment. Clean laundry facilities, kitchen and dining areas in addition to the regular assigned duties. Keep hallways clean. Maid carts are to be maintained and well stocked of cleaning materials. Refrigerators are to be cleaned. Maintains a stock of cleaning materials and notifies supervisor when more are needed.
Work is performed at different locations, which are all adequately heated, lighted and ventilated. Work involves exposure to dirt and disagreeable odors. Work requires constant standing, bending, stooping, reaching and frequently lifting and moving objects weighing about 40lbs and occasionally objects weighing over 50lbs. may need to climb ladders and operate industrial equipment. Exerts moderately heavy physical effort in controlling heavy equipment, carrying/setting up and working from step stool and scaffolds.
