U.S. Bank is seeking an Application Developer 3 with development and system development life cycle (SDLC) experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. As an Application Developer 3, you will be part of a team focused on providing application support to our branches. This team is also responsible for responding to high severity incidents, and will assist in the triage and recovery process for impacted applications. In addition, the Application Developer 3 will also be heavily focused on production and deployments. Successful candidates will have excellent problem solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Additionally, you will consult with business users on requirements gathering, system design, configuration, and implementation. You'll be working closely with the Delivery Manager, IT development, and Architecture groups while collaborating with several lines of business.
As an Application Developer 3 you will:
Participate in designing, coding, testing, implementation and documentation of solutions
Develop, test, implement and support of application systems
Participate in the definition of project tasks
Perform change impact analysis tasks
Assist in the creation of comprehensive unit test plans; create and execute test cases in line with test plans
Design, code, test, debug, document, maintain, and modify computer programs of moderate complexity, significance, and risk
Participate in investigation, analysis, and resolution of technical problems related to system functions, programming, and procedures
Join in post-implementation reviews of both application development content and process to maximize and share learning
Share in monitoring operating efficiency of existing systems
Write documentation that describes installation and operating procedures
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- At least three years of experience with developing and implementing applications
Basic understanding in:
- Application design, architecture
- Modeling: data, process, events, objects

- IT standards, procedures, policy
- Application testing
- System testing
- Application maintenance
- System development life cycle
- Application development tools
