**About the Position:** This position is located at: The 88th
Readiness Division (RD), Area Maintenance Support Activity (AMSA)
165, Monclova, Ohio

### Responsibilities

- Passing on instructions to workers received from supervisor
- Initiating assignments by identifying immediate tasks to be
performed
- Checking the progress of assignments for accuracy and compliance
with supervisors instructions
- Providing information to supervisor in order to keep him/her
abreast of current progress
- Performing more complex repairs on heavy mobile equipment
- Operating vehicles in order to check the work of subordinates
- Performing repairs on various types of commercial, combat,
tactical automotive support equipment
- Providing guidance and advice to workers involving the proper
maintenance procedures

### Conditions of Employment

- This position requires membership in the U.S. Army Reserve
(USAR).

Current Department of Army Civilian Employees (Army Employee)

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer
work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps,
AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional;
philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including
volunteer experience.

There is no specific length of training or experience required.
However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown
in your written application materials that you possess the
sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform
the work of this position without more than normal supervision.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work
of a Heavy Mobile Equipment Repairer Leader without more than normal
supervision. To meet the screen out element, applicants should
document experience or show the ability to do the following: passing
on instructions, demonstrating work methods, working with others and
setting the pace for non-supervisory repair work, checking work in
progress and when finished for compliance with supervisor's
instructions, work orders, and established shop procedures,
policies, and other directives, interpreting work instructions and
assisting lower graded repairers or trainees in difficult or complex
tasks, and providing information to the supervisor on status and
progress of work. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will
result in an ineligible rating.

blueprint reading)
- Ability To Lead or Supervise
- Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.

- **Physical Effort Required:** Work requires frequent standing,
bending, reaching, stretching, climbing, and crouching. Work is
performed on top of, under, or in tight compartments of
equipment in cramped positions. Work requires lifting and
carrying up to 50 pounds.
- **Working Conditions:** Work is performed inside and outside.
Worker is exposed to drafts, dirt, grease, oils, vehicle exhaust
fumes, and inclement weather. Worker is subject to burns, cuts,
scrapes, bruises, and strains.

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the
qualifications above.
