**THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD**

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

  • Tyonek Services Group is providing aircraft maintenance and logistics services in support of the 128th Aviation Brigade training aircraft and component work requirements supporting the 128th Aviation Brigade training at Fort Eustis, VA. The support will be conducted in accordance with current Army directives, including but not limited to, AR 95-1 and AR 95-20.
  • Provide field and approved sustainment level maintenance of assigned and supported training aircraft, training support and training base equipment, and Ground Support Equipment.

DUTIES:

  • Responsible for the supervision and oversight of all maintenance and logistics operations.
  • Must establish and modify maintenance assignments to meet requirements of Training and operational schedules as determined by the 128th Aviation Brigade.
  • Reports to the Program Manager and acts as the Program Manager in his/her absence.
  • Allocates resources to meet ever-changing mission requirements.
  • Ensures the maintenance organization is not overly tasked with augmentation duties outside maintenance functional areas.
  • Plans and directs project execution; monitors and develops reports on progress.
  • Manages all maintenance, PC, QC, and aviation logistics personnel.
  • Serves as a Maintenance Manager for the AS9100C QMS and assures that all aspects of the Quality and Safety Programs are understood and complied with and that all AS9100C standards are met or exceeded.
  • Must be technically knowledgeable with respect to production and inspection systems/plans, regulatory standards, project management, and general production principles.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of Army and commercial aviation maintenance practices and regulations.
  • Must have demonstrated the ability to coordinate the activities of different departments to ensure the timely support of the maintenance process.
  • Must have a results-oriented commitment to the continuing evolution of the maintenance program.
  • Must possess leadership and management skills and have a proven track record demonstrating adaptability to change and the ability to respond to challenges in a changing environment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees throughout the organization.
  • Must also be able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of and the application of quality tools.
  • Must be knowledgeable of problem-solving techniques and have knowledge of International organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 or Aerospace (AS) 9100 Quality Management System.
  • Able to perform duties as Program Manager in his absence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Program Manager

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 15 years in Army Aviation management, production management, aviation maintenance, professional aeronautics or aviation safety.
  • Must possess 10 years' experience in aviation maintenance leading/supervising at least 25 people.
  • Prefer minimum 10 years' experience with TRADOC Aviation Training processes
  • Prefer qualification as a TRADOC Aviation Instructor
  • Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills required.
  • Proficiency in various computer programs required (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access etc.).
  • Must be a US citizen

  • Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces and sit for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows / knees, and reach above / below shoulders.
  • Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions
